La Bonne Etape welcomes you for a tasty brunch. A various buffet awaits you from 10:30 AM to 13:30 PM with a large choice of salty and sugary treats : pastries, brownie, cereal, gingerbread, fruit salad, jam, honey, eggs (poached, hard boiled, fried, srambled, omelet), crepes / socca galette, terrine, caillette, dried sausage, oven-baked ham, raw ham, smoked salmon, fresh and aged cheeses, cottage cheese and yogurts, chicken chest with lavander, pasta salad with herbs, coffee, tea, fruit juices and water. FOOD WITH A PROVENCAL TWIST

The restaurant at Château-Arnoux serves harmonious, tasty dishes which are light and balanced, and overflowing with seasonal vegetables. Inspired by the wonders of the kitchen garden, and attaching great importance to the quality and provenance of his meat and fish, Jany Gleize's cooking offers a fresh take on the Provençal recipes of his grandmother Gabrielle. The desserts, including the famous lavender-scented honey ice cream served in a bee hive, pay tribute to Pierre, his confectioner father and Paul, pastry and grandfather of Jany.

The chef

Jany Gleize

Jany Gleize, a local lad born in Château-Arnoux, took over the reins at the family home. Just like his parents Arlette and Pierre, he conveys his passion for his region in his flavoursome, colourful cooking, a cuisine which tells stories.

La Bonne Étape restaurant in Château-Arnoux has been awarded one Michelin star. Chef Jany Gleize is a Maître Cuisinier de France, literally a Master Chef!
